Sweetie decided on low carbs

I told you about Sweetie thinking she needed to lose a few pounds.  Well she did a little research and found out that a low carb diet will help her to lose more weight faster and also improve her cholesterol levels if that’s a concern, which it isn’t for her right now.  She found an article on http://health.msn.com/ about diets and how they help or not.  After reading the article, she decided that restricting her carbs was the way to go for her.  Sounds like a good idea to me too because there is a better chance for success and improved health too.

Babies

Sweeties neice is on her way over today.  She’s 4 months old and we haven’t seen her in a few weeks.  There’s just something about having a baby around that makes you realize that the world isn’t such  a bad place but then you start thinking about all the harm there is for her once she get’s a little older and it makes you wonder if you really want to bring another life into this crazy world or not.

Botox

Botox has quickly becoming one of the biggest ‘plastic surgies’ used in a long time. Park Ridge Botox is a quality establishment in Chicago where you can be sure to get the best care available.  It’s no longer just women that are having Botox injections.  Men are now finding out the benefits too.

Stem cell therapy

I know stem cell therapy is a hot topic to a lot of people.  I think research into it is wonderful.  The stem cells hold the key to curing many diseases that are otherwise incurable or so many experts seem to think.  A lot of people thank that stem cell research will cause more women to have abortions but I don’t think one has anything to do with the other.  Women are going to have abortions for one reason or another and I don’t think stem cell research has nothing to do what so ever with that decision.  If more hospitals would or could harvest the stem cells from the umbilical cords of the babies that are born in their hospitals, we would have a great deal of them to conduct research with but the cords are simply discarded.  Some parents are having them harvested in case the child has a life threatening disease but it is not made readily known to most parents.

There is another way to harvest stem cells. Visit C’elle and you will find a new way a woman can collect her own stem cells through her normal monthly cycle.  It is a new method that will allow the collection of women’s stem cells to be used if she ever faces a life threatening disease.  The best part is these cells may even be able to be used by her parents, siblings and her children along with herself.  Stem cells fight heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and much more.  We really don’t know the extent of what stem cells can help cure or at least improve the quality of life in some diseases.  Through the stem cells, we could possibly find a cure for HIV, AIDS, and other diseases we haven’t even thought of preventing or possible cures for.

Quite an education

Can you believe there is a website that helps you understand what today’s ‘hip’ people are saying?  It’s called Urban Dictionary. It’s a user contributed website, a little like the Wikipedia idea, where they throw up a word or a phrase and the users write in with the definition plus use it in a sentence or two to help clarify the meaning. They have a “word of the day” so you can stay on top of the newest slang.

Why?  Why do we have to learn all of this when we are already having to learn Spanish to appease that sector of our country.  Now we have to appease the ‘gangster rap’ or skateboard society.  I don’t think so.   I’m amazed to find that people actually talk like this every day.  Sure I want to distinguish myself from the pack but I want others to be able to understand what I’m saying otherwise how are they going to know I have said something utterly brilliant.  It’s not very brilliant if no one can understand, now is it?  Absolutely amazing!!
